a sunday affair

We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
The part that really sticks out to me is
“ we hope all things, we have endured many things and hope to endure all things
the two main words being hope and endure. Hope. What does it really mean to have hope? the dictionary definition of hope is: the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best. A desire for a certain thing to happen. Simply, being positive. Which isn’t hard to do if you have faith. Faith and hope go hand in hand. The Definition of faith is: the complete trust or confidence in someone or something. So by having complete trust in the lord makes it easier to have A desire for good things to come.

Wilford W. Andersen said:
"[The] early Saints were indeed homeless, but they were not hopeless. Their hearts were broken, but their spirits were strong. They had learned a profound and important lesson. They had learned that hope, with its attendant blessings of peace and joy, does not depend upon circumstance. They had discovered that the true source of hope is faith—faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.”

We need to be more like the early saints. In today’s world we tend to overreact over little things. we need to remind ourselves of the early saints and all the trials and suffering they had to go through, but most of all their attitude about it. They went forward in faith, trusting in the Lord having hope that will get better. they endured.
The foot note for the word endure is steadfastness.
we go through many hard things. almost everyday somethings affects us. We need forgive the people who wrong us and have hope for a better tomorrow, most of all having faith in the lord that everything happens for a reason. i have a testimony of this and i know by prayer and being close to the lord, Trials become easier and i have more hope.
